My Go-To Paint Colors That Make Every Room Feel Like Home
I get so many questions about the paint colors throughout our home, so I wanted to put together a full guide for anyone looking for inspiration! From cozy neutrals to bold cabinets, here’s how I’ve brought color and style into each space.

1. Husband’s Office: Vintage / Moody Vibe
For my husband’s office, I wanted a moody vibe without making the room feel dark. Here’s what I chose:
- Doors & Built-Ins: Iron Ore by Sherwin-Williams
- Walls, Ceiling, Baseboards, Window Sills & Crown Moulding: Modern Gray by Sherwin-Williams
The combination gives the office a sophisticated look while keeping it light and welcoming.

2. Main Living Areas: The Perfect Neutral
Most of the walls in our home are painted Modern Gray by Sherwin-Williams. This includes:
- Under-stairs built-ins / mudroom
- Interior front door
- Entryway design
Modern Gray is the perfect neutral beige—it has warmth in natural light but can pull soft gray tones in cooler light, making it incredibly versatile throughout the home.

3. Trim Throughout the House: Crisp & Classic
For trim, crown moulding, doors, windows, and key architectural details, I went with Pure White by Sherwin-Williams. This includes:
- Baseboards and door/window trim (semi-gloss)
- Kitchen & dining room (satin)
- Faux shiplap in the entry (satin)
- Fireplace and pantry built-ins (semi-gloss)
The crisp white adds a clean, polished look and really makes the wall colors pop.

4. Other Key Spaces & Accents
Downstairs Bathroom Trim: Urbane Bronze by Sherwin-Williams
Laundry Room Cabinets: Classic Blue by StainMaster
Kid’s Bathroom: Shell White by Sherwin-Williams
Kitchen Island Wainscoting: Bunny Tail Blossom by StainMaster
These pops of color and contrast add personality while keeping the overall palette cohesive.
